1.       Investigating assigned targets

We are able to conduct in-depth investigations into targets suspected of infringing trademarks, copyrights, patents and so on. Specifically, we identify the history, location, manner and scope of the infringing activities. Our investigations enable us to obtain the evidence necessary to impose legal liability on infirngers.

We conduct such investigations in cooperation with the Government Notary Office, where it is necessary to authenticate evidence we obtain.

2.       Tracing the sources of counterfeits on the market

As counterfeits make their appearance on the market frequently, we are able to trace the direct supplier or the manufacturing source via the daily surveillance and tracing of retailers or wholesalers. We are also able to directly locate manufacturers via the nationwide investigative network. 

3.       Conducting IP-related market research

We can identify market share, scope and extent to which counterfeits or other infringing products are prevalent in a given market by resort to on-site investigations, procurement of samples and /or tracing investigations. 

4.       Conducting infringement surveillance

We can irregularly conduct monitoring over any region or target assigned by clients, including paying follow-up visits to those raided targets, and feeding back monitor report for the clients.

1.       Research into companies for general reference and due diligence purposes

We are able to provide you with files from the AIC and information obtained via on-site investigation into a target company, including legal scope of its business activities, personnel constitution, authorized product lines, production volumes, sales volumes, main markets, price lists and intellectual property rights. 

2.       Credit investigation

We are able to provide you with a statement of assets and liabilities with respect to a target company. 

3.       Investigating the use of identified trademarks

We are able to satisfy your need for comprehensive, accurate knowledge about a specific trademark, in the event that you wish to file an application for cancellation, assignment, and license of a registered trademark or enter into a cooperative relationship with the trademark proprietor. 

1)       Investigating trademark proprietor

          We are able to provide you with information regarding registration and use of a specific trademark, as well as information relative to its publicity and general information about the trademark proprietor. We accomplish this via on-site investigations and market surveys.

2)       Investigating the use of an identified trademark on the market

          We are able to satisfy our client’s need for information regarding the actual use of a specific trademark on the market; this includes whether the trademark is actually in current use, whether it enjoys a good repute, whether products bearing the trademark enjoy good sales, and a host of other relevant information.      

l          Filing administrative complaints in cases relating to trademarks, patents, copyrights and computer software infringement and unfair competition on behalf of clients  / Organizing raids against counterfeiters 

We also act as an attorney, filing complaints with enforcement authorities (AIC, TSB, PSB) in cases of infringements of trademarks, patents, copyrights, and those of more general instances of unfair competition.

We organize large-scale combined actions or general enforcement actions against target counterfeiters; these bear fruit in a majority of cases in the seizure of counterfeit products and/or materials and equipment used in their manufacture. Enforcement authorities levy administrative punishment against infringing manufacturers. Otherwise, We coordinate with enforcement authorities to investigate infringes for imposition of criminal liability, obtaining detailed, conclusive evidence as advance preparation for criminal proceedings, bringing the striking and punishing of infringing manufactures into full play.

l          Asserting claims for financial compensation on behalf of clients

We can liaison with enforcement authorities to compel infringing parties to negotiate with the party infringed for purposes of providing compensation for the lost caused by the counterfeit product.
